Albumin, the most abundant protein present in the human blood plasma is synthesized in the liver. Its properties allow transportation of nutrients, lipophilic hormones, trace minerals and help maintain the osmotic pressure.

Lazuline’s rAlblaz, is expressed in pichia pastoris, making it animal-component free. Our recombinant albumin is structurally and functionally equivalent to human blood plasma (HSA), Bovine serum Albumin (BSA), and Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), that are the traditional sources. However, rAlblaz is a highly preferred alternative for its animal origin free, purity, safety, consistency, stability and efficacy. rAlblaz solution does not contain any stabilizers that may inhibit cell culture performance. We have also completed pre-clinical toxicology studies and are in the process of human trials to launch our product for therapeutic use.
